Over the years, Mrs. Rice has experienced several roles in the accounting and financial industry. Today, her efforts are directed into managing all the services associated with an independent financial planning, asset management, and estate planning practice. She devotes her professional energies to supporting the efficiencies of day-to-day operations with the goal of high level client satisfaction. Laura says, "whatever it takes to achieve this we do. Nights and weekends are part of our commitment as this is the only sincere way to really help the Firm's clients achieve their goals. Our staff team approaches working for Prime Retirement Asset Management (PRAM) as careers versus jobs. The better PRAM clients do, the better we all do and this is our management philosophy.”
Laura E. Rice began her career in 1982 working for Marshall & Sterling, Inc. corporate headquarters in the accounting department. Over the next ten years, she rose to supervisor and as opportunities emerged she joined the firm’s Financial Planning Benefits Division as assistant to the Executive Director, David W. Frederick. In 1995, Mrs. Rice became the Operations Manager of Marshall & Sterling Financial Consultant, Inc. (MSFC), a Registered Investment Advisor. In 1996, MSFC was acquired and today is known as Prime Retirement Asset Management, (PRAM) doing business as Prime Wealth Management where Mrs. Rice manages day-to-day operations for PRAM’s New York headquarters. Mrs. Rice also holds a Registered Representative status with BRWM.
Laura E. Rice began her formal studies at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, NY where she received her degree in 1983. Her educational commitment continued where she successfully completed the securities industry licensing for Series 7 & 63 while also becoming a public notary. Currently, she is studying for the securities industries Series 24 Principal license. Also, Mrs. Rice has multi-state life, health, & annuities licenses having originally satisfied the State of New York Insurance Department Agent’s education and licensing requirements.
Laura E. Rice began her community involvement with the Hudson Valley Chamber of Commerce and United Way. She then became involved with Our Lady of Mt.Carmel as a room parent, coach and various other supervisory and/or fund raising roles while continuing such roles today with Our Lady of Lourdes High School. Her commitment continues with youth athletics and several community charities. She and her husband, Kevin, are natives of the Hudson Valley and reside in the Town of Poughkeepsie, New York, where they enjoy their two children, son-in-law & granddaughter.
